Goodna State Special School Expands With New Learning Facility, Delivered By Wiley

Goodna State Special School in Queensland is progressively expanding, with the construction of a contemporary three-storey learning centre.

The school will be well-equipped to support the continuously growing community and the ever-evolving learning requirements of students, with this new facility.

Stimulating learning spaces will provide students with opportunities to learn in connective ways and build a strong sense of community.  The project will provide eight new GLA’s (general learning areas), a commercial-grade hospitality kitchen, a gym, therapy rooms, sensory learning areas, inspiring outdoor learning environments and student amenities.

We are excited to share that Wiley is delivering this project for the Queensland Department of Education alongside KO&Co Architects, and Hammond & Neale Project Management.

Wiley Project Manager, Tom Wilson said; “Wiley is excited to be working closely with Goodna State Special School, the Queensland Department of Education and all key stakeholders to provide a seamless construction experience. It is Wiley’s key goal to deliver a safe working environment for students, staff, the wider community, construction workers and Wiley staff. It is essential, during the project delivery stage, to minimise disruptions to the school and its students where and when required. ”

Goodna State Special School New learning Centre is due for completion late November 2020.
